Even under the pressure of Time, of the natural elements,
the living essence of elegance is
“Permanence”.
“The Fashion Shows” collection by Laurence Tellier powerfully reinterprets the manipulation and sensual extravagance of the 21st-century fashion industry.
The models sway fearlessly as they emerge from the vertical planes to conquer the third dimension—a direct challenge to the viewer. These sculpted clay Stop-Actions bear the fiery, fractured marks of Raku glazing.

“Fashion Shows/Podium” – Bas-relief in stoneware and porcelain, double-firing, ceramic glazing, Raku and Kintsugi firing techniques on canvas, plexiglass, Corten metal, and torn plasma-cut steel give the impression of a painting in 3D, evoking a strong sense of movement as it emerges from the surface.
In parallel, her use of Kintsugi, a repair technique, highlights the natural breakage in the fired clay – reflections of her formative confrontations in the seventies – to transform the fractures of fate into golden traces of each piece’s history in the flames, mirroring her own militancy.
In expressing her commitment, her work leverages seduction rather than protest, abandons rage for elegance.

Laurence Tellier’s modeled-clay sculptures reveal the roots of her inspiration.
Child of the Alps, she grew up surrounded by the exhilarating chaos of the summits – snowfields and ski slopes as playground. Her series “Mountain Panoramas”, celebrates the particularity of beloved peaks as portraits of renowned landscapes in porcelain.
